Subydoo is a little wizard with a questionable sense of humor and an increasingly serious job.
In 2024, the earliest Doo took shape as a TensorFlow and PyTorch experiment: could a program follow Discord conversations, pick up someone’s mannerisms, and imitate their personality? The ambition was somewhere between a digital double and the mocking SpongeBob meme.
Later, a separate project at N3D Melbourne gave Doo a new purpose. Unrelated to the original Discord group, this work turned the personality experiment into a serious engineering effort: a team of AI agents handling support, billing, and print troubleshooting. What began as a Discord meme eventually earned an invitation to demo to Stripe’s engineering team.
Today, Doo sits right alongside Suby. We celebrate him as a state of mind, beyond any particular character or creature. Powered by Qwen 32B, he orchestrates dozens of developer agents working with frontier models, GPT-6.1 reasoning, and a growing set of AI tools. His engineering is state of the art, but his manners remain a work in progress.
